Let's Move People!

In our pursuit to establish and build authentic connection, the Game On team and I put tremendous value in embracing a little mystery, enjoying some positive humor, having each other’s back, and being intentional about creating an environment that allows for healthy and creative collaboration.

This past week, we had the opportunity to put these values into action as we rolled up our sleeves, boxed up our things, packed up our stuff, and moved to downtown Bradenton to begin an exciting new chapter in an amazing, creative, expansive new space.

With this new space comes all sorts of inspiration, apprehension, anticipation, and adjustments. There’s logistics, decisions, feelings, branding, newness, learning, painting, patience, and boxes still unpacked. This process is a tale of two cities for me, with this new space appealing to my creative senses while also challenging my desire for immediate order and structure.

With all that said - and with more unpacking still to be done - what’s helped me navigate this process is to redefine the word “MOVE” and think of it in these three steps.

1. Move... by staying physically active and making sure we’re taking care of our emotional, mental, and physical well-being so we can better handle change.

2. Move... by pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones and doing hard things so we can continue to build confidence, stretch ourselves, and grow.

3. Move... by seeing every interaction, every engagement, and every new endeavor as an opportunity to make a positive impact on others to build authentic connections.

As we begin this next chapter, and step out in Faith, the most important thing for us is to enter this new space with grace, and make sure it’s an environment that allows us to stay active, provides opportunities for us to grow, and is an environment designed for us all to serve and positively impact others.
