Tech Check On

Adapters… and batteries… and chargers, oh my!

On that exciting, intriguing, and, at times, treacherous and winding road to present with excellence, lead well, and cultivate authentic connection…

1. Our adapters must be adaptable.

2. Our batteries need to be powered up.

3. Our chargers better have their charge on.

As leaders, teachers, coaches, presenters, we can build the most powerful PowerPoint, create the wildest whiteboard, devise the greatest game plan, and with all that seen, said, and done, if those essential ABC’s - Adapters, Batteries, Chargers - aren’t on point, the point to our message may get lost because we didn’t intentionally get our… tech check on.

I’m no tech guru, but I’ve learned to embrace those adapters, cherish those double and triple A’s, and appreciate the tech language. I’m proud to say, I’m on the road on the regularly using all the cool terms like HDMI to USB-C, output to monitor, and all things multi-port, because through trial, error, and experience, I’ve realized the power of adapting to those adapters.

So, on that exciting, intriguing, and winding road to cultivate authentic connection, let’s get properly set up and hooked up, so we can check off that tech and check into the content, the message, and most importantly, the audience we are serving. And as we serve and focus on making a positive impact on others, when those screen shares stop sharing, those mirrors stop mirroring, that wifi stops wifi-ing, that speech, that presentation, that lesson has literally lost its connection, and so have we.

To get that signal back, to toss that message up, to maintain that connection, let’s be intentional, and adaptable, starting with keeping that tech check on!

Tech On.
Signal On.
Game On.
